LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–AuDNet, Inc.’s Preferred Provider Community member, Dr. Gregory Frazer, will spearhead a campaign to educate consumers about noise induced hearing loss (NIHL), while arming them with tools for prevention. The campaign will launch June 1, 2010 and will continue through Labor Day weekend.
The free hearing protection devices, provided in conjunction with AuDNet’s NowiHear.com and Oaktree Products, can be used during every day noisy activities such as mowing the lawn, using loud tools, and attending noisy events or concerts.
“Over 34.25 million Americans experience hearing loss and 26 million of these people will suffer form noise induced hearing loss, which is 100% preventable,” remarked Frazer, a partner and practicing audiologist at Pacific Eye & Ear Specialists in Los Angeles. “With this campaign, we hope to educate consumers about the steps that can be taken to prevent such ear injury.”

About Dr. Gregory Frazer
Dr. Frazer is a well-known teacher and clinician. He has been a UCLA Clinical Instructor in the Department of Head & Neck Surgery at Olive View Medical Center; an Associate Professor for the UCSD/SDSU Au.D. Program; instructor for the University of Florida Au.D. Program; and Assistant Professor for the Arizona School of Health and Sciences. He was the first audiologist in the world to have a Ph.D. in audiology, as well as the new Clinical Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree. He is Board Certified by the American Academy of Audiology, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences. Dr. Frazer is experienced in working with infants, children and adults. He is semi-fluent in Spanish and Sign Language.
