Digital Killed The Print and TV Star…..

by Rebekah on August 17, 2009

I read this headline this morning: “Anna Nicole Smith friend can sue, not for gay claim.” My first thought, being the terribly impatient person that I am, was: “Will this ever go away?”  And my second thought was: “Wow, that’s an intriguing headline I think I’m actually going to click on it even though I really DON’T want to, but OH it’s just so easy…no, don’t do it,…oh shoot here I go.”  You know how the story ends.  Inevitably.

In the olden days, we only had to watch footage of a mass suicide being played over and over again an average of 19.4 times on TV, or even better, read about it once or twice in a newspaper.  Now…yikes….digital makes it preposterously difficult to ever get away from information. It’s just so darn easy to click around and click through and read, then click through again.

What’s my point? Well the first one is: Anna Nicole Smith stories are never going away.  The second: think twice before you decide to blast something out over the Internet…this includes Facebook, Twitter, your website, your blog (I try to take my own advice).  It ain’t never goin’ away….
