Although this might seem like common sense, I thought I should still bring it to your attention (JUST in case). Let’s say, hypothetically, you started a Facebook Group for your company/business/whatever and decided, “Hey, Groups kiiiind of suck. I think I’m going to switch to a FAN PAGE.” Well, be sure to either a) remain admin to the Group if you’re not going to delete, b) just delete it or c) assign a trustworthy person to take your place as admin. According to Mashable, many have been abandoning their Facebook Groups leaving them admin-less. Thanks to a lovely little Facebook glitch, anyone who stumbles upon that group can simply add themselves as the new admin. Now, if your group was something like “People Who Love Alpacas” then you probable need not worry. But if it’s your business or something you were controlling yourself, then be careful if you decide to jump ship.
