It comes as no surprise anymore when you hear about upcoming changes or new features from the Big Three (Myspace, Facebook & Twitter).  This time it’s Facebook with its’ announcement of a road map they will be providing their developers with soon that will change Facebook forever–well, at least until they come up with new changes.  According to Cynopsis Digital Media, the road map will include “new developer tools and technologies, enhanced communication apparatus and improved application discovery for users.”  Cynopsis goes onto write:

“We focus on providing our developer community with simple building blocks to speed innovation and create an environment where small teams quickly push new products that can rapidly disrupt industries,” wrote Ethan Beard, Director of Platform Marketing in a on the road map. New products on the horizon include an open graph API, new Facebook Connect Libraries, a new developer website and streamlined policies and principles that will make it easier for developers to get apps up and running.

It will be interesting to see the different roads the Big Three will be taking and where their ultimate destination will be.
